Writers Block

Writers Block is a problem that many writers and authors face. It comes in many forms, but the most popular is the lack to find and write continuously. I am going to talk about it, and hopefully help you along with this disease/virus/annoyance/brick/wall…

Writer’s block is where a writer has trouble continuing a story. They have an idea, and suddenly they can’t come up with anything to write. There are many answers to this problem, and here are a few:

Sleep and stress: Most of these answers will be accomplished before Writer’s block starts and here’s one. Many times, stress and lack of sleep will slow down your cognitive abilities, and thinking will be harder. SLOW DOWN. It’s no good to anyone if your exhausted and trying to write a book. Get up from your dark corner in your house, and take a nap. Sleep on what you’re going to write in the morning. Stress is another problem. If you’ve been on the computer all day, stressed with school and other things, SLOW DOWN. Same as before. Get up, go on a walk, or do an activity that involves your hands (not video gaming. Sorry). Don’t watch TV as that won’t really help either.

Planning out: Writer’s block can also be prevented by making a detailed write out of all the scenes in your novel. This is a big feat, but it is needed if you want to avoid writer’s block in the future. If you message and comment on if you want this, I can provide a template from google sheets that you can copy and paste for your book. Let me know in the comments.

Help from friends: If none of these things are working, go to a trusted friend and possibly fellow writer, and ask them what they think of your book so far. If you haven’t started writing yet, tell them the plot and ask them how they think it should start.

Let me know in the comments if this helped! I’ve experienced Writers Block before, and it’s not fun!

Good luck with your writing adventure! See ya!
